Narrative
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, makes a play to take control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to frozen sets, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they styled their characters during production on The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get The Penguin to smoke in Batman (2022), but to no avail. However, in his own series, the character is depicted as an occasional smoker who prefers to smoke cigars.
Farrell STEALS this series
The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros logo. Starring Graham Norton i gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Active. There is nothing about the character that suggests Farrell.
Well written and tight
The New York accent, the swaying and limping, the attitude: I swear it’s a different person. The amazing prosthetics are very realistic and add to the character. The presentation is rough and graphic. There is nothing cartoonish about it.
HBO has a legit hit
It’s a great match for Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it blows Marvel’s line out of the water. Hopefully there will be a season 2, but I know it’s limited. Damage.
