How can she write so delicately without a fixed division between good and evil? If you think about it, it’s a staple, but it’s used in almost every movie because it starts the story. However, the « Next » writer takes the hard way and makes it work. Heck, the ending is a perfect example of how it balances moral good and evil. When Gu gets out of prison, the movie starts to portray him as a nice guy and I find myself screaming « Don’t just give stalkers a free pass, especially since stalking and killing ex-girlfriends are social phenomena in Korea. » Then Detective Oh says « look what you’ve done with your life ».
